Alan Cohn - University of Baltimore Law School Graduate

A member of the National Association of Vision Care Plans, Alan Cohn is a strategic partnership consultant for Avesis, which provides primary care to chronically-ill patients at its three medical centers in Atlanta, Baltimore, and Greenbelt. The recipient of a bachelor's in public affairs from George Washington University and a juris doctor from the University of Baltimore, Alan Cohn has been affiliated with Avesis since 1992 and previously managed the insurance company's vision, dental, and hearing plans.

As CEO of ABC, Mr. Cohn oversees the development of its patient-centered ambulatory intensive care unit delivery model, in which a multidisciplinary team provides individualized patient treatment with marked improvements in quality, cost, and outcomes. In the past 17 years, ABC has successfully treated over 5,000 chronically-ill patients and earned extremely positive reviews from the Baltimore Sun and other publications.

Mr. Cohn previously presided over a mail service pharmacy enterprise and worked for the health care company Spectera, Inc. While attending law school, he worked in the Office of the Attorney Advisor for the Health Care Finance Administration.
